Temporary Visa types:
Visa type I:
This type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil as researchers, visiting professors, students on certain categories of exchange, voluntary workers, members of cultural and/or scientific missions and for the training of sports.
Visa type II:
- Provided that no income is derived directly from a Brazilian source, this type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil:
a. to conduct business or attend business-related affairs;
b. to attend conferences, seminars and similar events;
c. as journalists assigned by communications media on a short term mission to Brazil;
d. as cameramen and film makers and members of their crew, with prior granting of specific authorization.
Visa type III:
This type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil in the condition of being an artist or sportsman.
Visa type VI:
This type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil to attend graduation or post-graduation courses – including theological and technical studies, and for internships according to Normative Resolution 88 by the Brazilian National Immigration Council.
Visa type V:
This type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil to perform work or technical assistance under a contract, as well as for professional internships according to Normative Resolution 94 by the Brazilian National Immigration Council.
Visa type VI:
This type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil as correspondents of the written and spoken press, as well as government and commercial press agencies.
Visa type VII:
This type of visa is applicable to foreigners traveling to Brazil in the condition of priests, missionaries and alike.
