São Paulo is Sweden’s second largest industrial city after Gothenburg. In 2011 the total revenue of the Swedish companies in Brazil was approximately 20 billion US$. Some of the most well known are: AstraZeneca, Höganäs, Scania, Volvo, Skanska, Stora Enzo, Ericsson och Tetra Pak. In 2010 the Swedish Companies had an accumulated revenue of 150 billions SEK beating Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Naturally the Swedish Chamber of Commerce has decided to have its main office in Sao Paulo

Sao Paulo is the largest city on the southern hemisphere with over 20 millions inhabitance and it is the largest trade city in South America. Brazilians usually joke that Sao Paulo is South America’s second largest economy after Brazil. The city is the most industrialized city in Brazil.
